The essentials

Everything you — and your Erasmus office — need to know.

Funding
An Erasmus+ grant from your sending institution — approximately €500–700/month (Greece = Group 2), including the traineeship top-up; exact amount set by your national agency. +€250/month inclusion top-up for participants with fewer opportunities; green-travel and travel-day top-ups also available. Greek and self-funded interns do not receive an Erasmus+ grant (see Eligibility).
Duration
2–12 months depending on the role (3–4+ recommended to make the most of it).
Hours
30–35 per week (for trainee well-being).
Format
On-site in Athens (some roles allow hybrid for specific tasks).
Languages
English is the working language (B1–C1 by role); Greek not required; other EU languages welcome.
Eligibility
KA131-HED traineeships and KA1-VET mobility; VET/ITS, BA and MA students from other programme countries. Greek students can intern with us too, but self-funded or through a university placement — not Erasmus+, since Erasmus+ mobility cannot be hosted in your own country.
Start
Rolling — begin as soon as your Learning Agreement is signed.

Support

You won’t be thrown in at the deep end.

  • A dedicated supervisor/mentor and weekly check-ins; structured learning outcomes in your Learning Agreement.
  • Accommodation-search support and full city orientation.
  • Inclusion: we welcome applicants with fewer opportunities, support the inclusion top-up, and discuss reasonable adjustments.
  • Safeguarding: for roles involving minors we request a criminal-record certificate and give a safeguarding briefing during orientation. Read our safeguarding policy.
