European Voluntary and Educational Centre · Athens
We grow skills with microgreens, mycelium, drones & solar.
Not slides — things you can hold in your hands. At EVEC Athens we build learning around real, hands-on tools in green and digital skills. Take a look at what we make.
What we actually do
Most people learn in front of a screen. We learn with our hands.
At EVEC we don’t teach about the green and digital future — we build it in front of you. You sow it, grow it, fly it, measure it. Every workshop ends with something real in your hands.
Real builds, every weekFour things we’re building right now
Each one is a real, hands-on tool — not theory, but something you set up and experience yourself.

Microgreens & urban farming
Sow on Monday, harvest by Friday — a whole crop on a shelf the size of a bookcase.
Up to 40× the nutrients of the grown plant
Mycelium & biomaterials
Mushroom roots grown into packaging and objects that compost instead of pollute.
Takes any mould’s shape in ~7 days
Drones & data
Map a field, film a site, read the data — digital skills that literally take off.
First flight to live map in a single day
Solar & clean energy
Wire a panel, store the charge, power a build — energy you measure on your own meter.
Real kit, real voltage in your handsA single tray of microgreens can feed a classroom — and fits on a windowsill.
A mycelium brick composts in weeks — not the centuries plastic takes.
We don’t lecture about the green transition — we hand you the tools to build it.
Hooked? Every one of these is a real project you can step into — as a participant, a school, or a partner.

What partners say after working with us
Schools, organisations and researchers across Europe — here’s why they come back.
Our students came back from the microgreens and drone workshops genuinely changed. The impact chapter of our report almost wrote itself.
We needed a partner who delivers real hands-on activities, not slides. EVEC brought exactly the dissemination and impact our KA2 was missing.
Their mycelium and circular-economy methodology added the practical dimension our Horizon proposal lacked. Professional from the very first meeting.

How we work with you
Whether you need a host organisation, a co-author, or a partner who genuinely lifts your impact, we work alongside you at every stage — from the first idea and concept note through submission, delivery and final reporting. Here’s exactly how we partner with your organisation.
Host placements in Athens
We host VET, Adult and ESC mobilities with real-world activities, a structured learning programme and genuine day-to-day care. From accommodation and on-the-ground support to cultural integration and Europass certification, we make sure every participant leaves with an experience that actually counts.
Co-write funding applications
KA1, KA2, KA210/KA220 and Horizon — from the first concept note to final submission. We shape the objectives, build the work plan, budget and timeline, and write a proposal that holds up under evaluation. We know what National Agencies look for and how to make your project show it.
Strengthen impact & dissemination
Dissemination and impact are often what decide your score. We design the communication strategy, produce the materials, run the outreach and document results with measurable indicators. We own deliverables and KPIs so your project’s impact is visible — and provable.
A reliable partner in your consortium
Need an accredited organisation to complete your consortium? We bring experience across dozens of projects, a stable presence in Greece and a track record funders trust. We join meaningfully — owning real roles, responsibilities and work packages, not just a name on the list.
Our programmes
Every programme — and who it’s for
Everything we run sits under one of these EU funding frameworks — from Erasmus+ and the European Solidarity Corps through to Horizon Europe. Each has its own audience, its own goals and its own way of being funded. Pick the one that fits you and see exactly what it offers, who it’s for and how to take part.
Youth exchanges and training courses right across Europe, with travel, accommodation and meals fully covered by the programme. You meet people, build real skills and come home with a Youthpass certificate — at almost no cost to you.
