✈️ Your plane ticket is bought for you

This is the first thing people ask, so here it is plainly: you don’t buy a plane ticket. The organisers, TÜGVA, buy the flights for every participant in advance, following the travel plan agreed with them. You don’t pay for the ticket, and you don’t wait for a refund after the course.

You fly into Porto Airport (OPO) on Sunday 22 November and home on Monday 30 November. From the airport, a direct coach (Get Bus) runs to Braga bus station in about 50 minutes, and the organisers send up-to-date instructions for the last stretch to the venue before the course.

  • 👉 Once the ticket is issued, changes may not be possible. Any change you ask for afterwards is at your own cost, so check your dates before you confirm them. Don’t book any travel yourself without the organisers’ written OK.
  • 👉 Your trip to and from the airport in Greece (metro, bus or train) is refunded in euros on the last day of the course, against the original tickets and receipts. Keep every ticket on the way, the coach included. A taxi counts only if it’s approved in advance and shared by at least three participants.
  • 👉 Don’t live in Athens? Tell us in the form which airport you’d fly from, and we’ll pass it on to the organisers before they book.

🧩 What is this Erasmus+ training course in Portugal about?

PROJECT CRAFT is a six-day Erasmus+ training course for youth workers, organised by TÜGVA (Turkey Youth Foundation) under its Erasmus+ youth accreditation. It tackles a problem anyone who has tried to write a project knows: good ideas that never become good applications, because the need isn’t backed by evidence, the logic doesn’t hold together, or the partnership exists only on paper.

You work through the whole chain of a KA210-YOU or KA220-YOU Cooperation Partnership: needs analysis and stakeholder mapping, problem and solution trees, objectives, results and impact indicators, activity design, timeline and monitoring, partnership management, the application form and award criteria, and dissemination and sustainability. The Erasmus+ priorities (inclusion, digital transformation, environmental sustainability and youth participation) are built in from the start.

The methods are practical: analysis of successful projects, simulations, a guided writing lab, an NGO marketplace for finding partners, and a project clinic with trainer mentoring and peer review. By the end, international teams have a structured project concept, clear partner roles and a realistic 90-day roadmap towards a future application.

🗓️ Six training days, one by one

Day 1 · 23 Nov · Getting started — Welcome and learning agreements, how KA210 and KA220 work, and what successful Erasmus+ projects have in common
Day 2 · 24 Nov · Needs — Needs analysis and stakeholder mapping, a problem tree and solution tree workshop, and turning needs into project relevance
Day 3 · 25 Nov · Project design — SMART objectives, results and impact indicators, designing activities, and phases, timeline and monitoring
26 Nov · free day — rest and explore Braga, no sessions
Day 4 · 27 Nov · Partnerships — An NGO marketplace and partner matching (SALTO and OTLAS), shared roles in a partnership, and the Erasmus+ priorities in practice
Day 5 · 28 Nov · Writing — The application form and award criteria, a guided proposal writing lab in international teams, and impact, dissemination and sustainability
Day 6 · 29 Nov · Project clinic — Drafting with trainer mentoring, project presentations and peer review, 90-day action plans and Youthpass

Each training day runs from 09:30 to 17:30, in three working blocks with breaks. 22 November is the arrival day, 30 November the departure day.

✨ What you’ll bring home

🧩 A structured project concept for a KA210 or KA220, built with an international team
🤝 Potential partners met in person, with roles you’ve already discussed
🗺️ A 90-day action plan with milestones towards a real application
✍️ Practice in what evaluators look for: needs, logic, indicators and award criteria
🧰 The course’s Project Development Toolkit of reusable templates
📜 A Youthpass certificate — the EU’s recognition of what you learned in non-formal education

💸 What’s covered

✅ Your flight: bought for you in advance by the organisers, TÜGVA. You pay nothing for it.

✅ Accommodation: shared rooms at the Centro de Juventude de Braga, 22–30 November

✅ Three meals a day: breakfast, lunch and dinner 🥗

✅ Eligible local transport, including your trip to and from the airport in Greece: refunded in euros on the last day, against the original receipts

✅ The full programme, the trainers’ mentoring, the materials and Youthpass

⚠️ Not covered: your travel insurance (the organisers ask you to bring the documents; take your European Health Insurance Card too), personal spending, taxis that aren’t approved in advance, and any change to your flight after the ticket is issued. You need a valid ID card or passport.

🏙️ Where you’ll stay

The Centro de Juventude de Braga (Braga Youth Centre), at Rua de Santa Margarida 6, is near Braga’s historic centre, a short walk from the city’s main cultural areas. It opened in 2019 and combines accommodation with spaces built for training and non-formal education: an auditorium, a common lounge, a terrace and dining facilities.

The rooms are shared: two doubles, one triple, four quadruples and one room for five. Rooms are separated by gender, and who sleeps where is decided by a random draw, so be ready to share with up to four people.

👀 Is this you?

This Erasmus+ training course in Portugal is for someone who wants to write Erasmus+ projects, not just take part in them. Only one person goes from Greece, and they go as EVEC Athens’s representative, so we’re looking for someone who will keep working on the project with us after Braga. You’re a fit if you:

  • are 18 or older and live in Greece;
  • are active in youth work as a youth worker, youth leader, trainer, project coordinator or active volunteer, with an NGO, a youth group, a municipality, a school or our own volunteering in Athens;
  • ideally know Erasmus+ from the inside: you’ve taken part in, helped run or helped write a project (writing your first KA2 is exactly what this course is for);
  • want to develop a real Cooperation Partnership after the course, and can give it time in the following three months;
  • have good working English: you’ll be reading, discussing and writing project text in it;
  • are free for the whole trip, 22–30 November.
💙 Any accessibility needs or serious food allergies? Tell us in the form. The organisers ask to know before arrival, so they can plan for you.

🤝 What it means to represent EVEC Athens

The organisers say it clearly: they want people whose work matches the course, not people looking for a trip. Here is what the role means in practice.

  • Before you go: we give you what the course asks every organisation to bring: EVEC’s PIF (organisation profile), our past projects and the project ideas we want partners for, so you can present EVEC at the NGO marketplace.
  • During the course: you present EVEC Athens, work on a project concept in an international team, and agree partner roles and a 90-day plan.
  • In the first month back: you share a short post about the course on EVEC’s channels and run a short knowledge-sharing session for our team and volunteers.
  • In the following one to three months: you work with us on the concept with the partners, join the online follow-up meetings, and report on progress.

Heads up: Braga is beautiful, but this isn’t a city break. Six full training days, every session, on time.

🎒 Pack this

  • 💻 A laptop or tablet, with access to your email and to shared-document tools: you’ll be writing in teams.
  • 💡 A project idea and a real youth need behind it: one challenge you see in young people’s lives, with any examples or data you have.
  • 🔑 Your login for SALTO / OTLAS, the Erasmus+ partner-finding tools (create a free account before you go if you don’t have one).
  • 🧥 Layers, a waterproof jacket, an umbrella and comfortable walking shoes: it’s November in northern Portugal.
  • 🪪 Your ID card or passport, boarding passes and insurance documents, kept in your hand luggage.
  • 🧾 Every receipt for your local transport, originals, for the refund on the last day.

📝 How to apply

To join this Erasmus+ training course in Portugal, apply through the EVEC Athens application form, the same form we use for all our calls. EVEC selects its one participant, and your motivation decides it. Write it in the form’s motivation field: start with the word “Braga”, then tell us:

  • your experience in youth work: what you do, where, with whom and for how long;
  • your experience with Erasmus+: projects you’ve taken part in, helped run or helped write, and your role in them;
  • one project idea you’d like to turn into a KA210 or KA220: the need you see, the young people it’s for, and what would change;
  • how you’ll use what you learn after the course, and that you can give the project time in the three months after it;
  • your nationality, the organisation or group you’re active in, and your role there;
  • confirmation that you’re free 22–30 November and have a valid ID card or passport.

Write your name in the form exactly as it appears on your passport or ID card: the organisers book your flight with it. Aim for 200–350 words. Specific beats long.

💡 Pro tip: skip “I want to learn how to write projects.” Everyone writes that. Tell us about one need you’ve actually seen in young people’s lives, and why it deserves a European partnership. That’s what gets you picked.

One seat on the plane to Porto, already paid. It could be yours.

Open the application form →

Open until Friday 23/10/2026, 23:59 (Greek time). Selection right after, then confirmation from the organisers ⏳

📌 Important: submitting the form doesn’t confirm your place. You’re in once EVEC Athens has selected you and the organisers have confirmed you. The person we select then fills in the organisers’ participant form, and TÜGVA contacts them directly about the flight and the participants’ WhatsApp group.

👉 More into social media and content than project writing? We’re also sending one person to BE VISIBLE in Málaga, Spain (9–17 November), and the organisers buy that flight too. You can apply for both: send the form once for each course, with the right keyword.
