🤔 So what’s this Erasmus+ youth exchange in Spain about?

Let’s be real: we live glued to our screens 📱. Endless scrolling, group chats, notifications — and somewhere in the noise we lose touch with nature, with people, and sometimes with ourselves.

Youth for Sustainable Communities is your reset button. It’s a chill, open, hands-on space to slow down, breathe, swap stories and try out new ways of living. Through outdoor adventures 🏞️, intercultural nights 🌍, teamwork, creative workshops and non-formal learning, you’ll dig into wellbeing & emotional awareness, healthier everyday habits, sustainability & the environment, the bond between people and nature, intercultural respect, and the small actions that spark real change.

👉 You don’t need to be a sustainability expert. All you need is genuine motivation to show up, learn, contribute and share.

🤝 You won’t be going in blind

Here’s the reassuring part: in June 2026, four participants from EVEC Athens joined another Erasmus+ project in Spain run by the very same host — Fundación Plan B Educación Social. Their verdict? Professional, responsible and super well organised from start to finish. So you’re stepping into a serious, high-quality experience with a partner we already know and trust. 💚

👇 A little glimpse of that June project in Spain:

🏠 Where you’ll stay & eat

On this Erasmus+ youth exchange in Spain, home base is the picture-perfect village of La Zarza de Pumareda, in the province of Salamanca — calm, green and exactly the kind of place that makes learning feel easy 🌳. You’ll get comfortable shared rooms in a well-equipped local facility, shared bathrooms, and three meals a day plus coffee breaks. Veggie, vegan and other dietary needs are respected — just flag any allergies or preferences in the form.

✈️ Getting there (and getting paid back)

You’ll usually fly Greece → Madrid, then hop on a bus or train to Salamanca. We’ll send you the full guide once your spot is confirmed. If you’re selected, you’ll need to:

  • ✅ get your travel plan approved by EVEC Athens before booking anything;
  • 🧾 keep every original ticket, invoice, receipt and boarding pass;
  • 🙌 take part in the full programme;
  • 📩 follow the reimbursement steps from EVEC Athens and the host.

⚠️ Eligible travel is reimbursed according to Erasmus+ rules and the approved budget. Tickets bought without prior approval may not be reimbursed.

🧳 Want to make it a proper Spain trip?

Keen to explore Salamanca, Madrid or the region a bit more? You’re welcome to arrive up to two days before or stay up to two days after the project — on your own budget. Any extra nights, meals, local transport and personal spending outside the official dates are on you, and your full travel plan still needs approval before you book. Perfect combo: real skills and a beautiful, less-touristy corner of Spain to discover 🇪🇸.

👀 Is this you?

For this Erasmus+ youth exchange in Spain, we’re looking for motivated young people based in Greece who are curious, open-minded and ready to leave their comfort zone. No experience needed — just real motivation, respect for others, and enough English to join in and connect. Bonus points if you’re genuinely into the topics, up for getting stuck in, comfortable in an international group, and happy to share what you learn back home.

🎂 Age: ideally 18–26. Under Erasmus+ rules, participants can be 13–30, and the group leader must be 18+. Within those limits and motivated? We’d love to read your application.

🙏 Heads up: this is not a holiday or a free getaway. You’re expected to attend the whole programme, cooperate with the group and genuinely contribute to the learning.
