Call for expressions of interest for three workshop trainers (Erasmus+, Athens, 2026)
EVEC Athens invites applications from workshop trainers for three positions of trainer – workshop instructor, one per stream, in an Erasmus+ VET learner mobility in Athens. Each trainer proposes and leads a 10-day programme for one of three groups of seven secondary vocational learners, most under 18, from a partner vocational school abroad. The 14-day activity takes place between early November and mid-December 2026. Fee: €880 in total per trainer.
Key facts
Subject
The three groups build one instrumented hydroponic microgreens growing rack that reports live through an app, and work out how its produce can reach a customer; the results are published open source. Each programme combines 6–7 activity days at the venue with 3–4 days of educational visits to companies or laboratories; visit times may include mornings. Accompanying teachers attend every session and supervise the learners.

Requirements for workshop trainers
At application:
- a university degree relevant to the stream, or documented professional experience in its field;
- English at level B2 or higher, as stated in the CV and confirmed at the interview, which is held in English; no certificate is required;
- availability for the activity: weekday afternoons after 14:00 at the venue and the company visits.
Before the contract:
- an active business registration (έναρξη εργασιών) with ΑΑΔΕ under a training ΚΑΔ, to issue a Τιμολόγιο Παροχής Υπηρεσιών (possible after selection);
- public-sector employees, including teachers: the permit for paid private work (art. 31 ν. 3528/2007), never granted retroactively; private-sector employees: a υπεύθυνη δήλωση;
- selected workshop trainers only: a criminal record copy (αντίγραφο ποινικού μητρώου γενικής χρήσης) and a υπεύθυνη δήλωση, for work with minors (ν. 3727/2008, art. 1 §1).
Fee
The fee, €880 per workshop trainer for the 40 hours (€22/hour), is EVEC’s total cost including any VAT; EVEC is not subject to VAT. EVEC withholds 20% income tax on the amount before VAT (art. 64 ΚΦΕ) and pays by bank transfer to an account in the trainer’s name within 15 days after the activity ends and the Τιμολόγιο Παροχής Υπηρεσιών is received. Where art. 39 §9 ν. 4387/2016 obliges EVEC to pay an employer-type ΕΦΚΑ contribution, EVEC’s total stays €880, so the contract fee is €749.70 (€731.02 for those insured under the former ΕΤΑΑ); the case is decided before signing. Tax, VAT, ΕΦΚΑ and insurance are the trainer’s own responsibility.
How to apply
Workshop trainers apply in a single step. Applicants:
- read the Full terms and the brief for their stream;
- write the 10-day programme proposal in English on the proposal template (Word or PDF), maximum 6 A4 pages;
- fill in the application form, signing in with a Google account (free), make the declarations and upload: (a) the proposal, (b) a CV in English, stating the level of English, (c) evidence of experience in the stream (one or more files).
Applications for more than one stream are allowed: the form is submitted separately for each stream, with a separate proposal; each applicant can be selected for one stream only. If an applicant ranks first in more than one stream, EVEC offers them the stream where it has the greater need, and the other position goes to the next applicant in that stream’s ranking.
Applicants without a Google account write to vet@evec.org.gr by Thursday 24 September 2026 and then send the same answers and the same documents (a)–(c) by email by the deadline, Tuesday 29 September 2026, 23:59 (Athens time).
EVEC confirms receipt by email with an application reference number within 2 working days.
Selection of workshop trainers
EVEC Athens checks conditions 1–3, then scores eligible applications out of 120: application documents 100 (proposed 10-day programme 40; professional experience in the stream 30; experience teaching teenagers or VET learners 20; English 10) and an online interview 20.
Every applicant who meets conditions 1–3 is invited by email to a short online interview in English, held indicatively from Thursday 1 to Monday 5 October 2026, on the proposed programme and how they would teach it; an applicant who attends none of the slots offered receives 0 points for the interview. A reserve list of workshop trainers is kept per stream. Provisional results are posted here per stream by application reference number and emailed. Objections go to vet@evec.org.gr within 3 working days from the day after posting, only about the scoring of submitted documents; final results follow.
