EVEC Athens invites VET teachers and trainers from any country to design a 10-day programme linking their vocation with microgreens, for foreign vocational learners hosted in Athens. Admitted programmes may be presented to EVEC’s partner schools in the EU; if a school chooses yours, EVEC contracts you to lead it.

The idea
EVEC hosts vocational learners in Athens within the Erasmus+ VET mobilities of partner schools in the EU, which hold the grants and want to see an offer like this. EVEC’s methodology uses microgreens as an educational tool.
Learners, usually aged 15–19 and often minors, come with their accompanying teachers; each trainer takes up to 20 learners, and larger groups get a second trainer on the same terms. EVEC provides the venue and the microgreens growing materials; other materials and their cost are agreed with EVEC in advance.

VET teachers of any vocation are welcome if the link to microgreens is real:
- Automation, electronics and IoT: sensors and automatic watering
- Mechanical engineering, carpentry and 3D printing: build the racks and trays
- Transport and logistics: cold chain and delivery routes
- Cooking, pastry and hospitality: menus with microgreens
- Agriculture and horticulture: growing media and varieties

Who can propose
VET teachers and trainers, or professionals in the vocation, from any country, with:
- a university degree relevant to the vocation, or documented professional experience in it;
- English at level B2 or higher, stated in the CV and checked at the interview (no certificate needed);
- the means to be in Athens at their own cost; EVEC pays no travel or accommodation.
How it works for VET teachers and trainers
- Download the proposal template and describe your programme in English (at most 6 A4 pages, Word or PDF).
- Fill in the online form (free Google sign-in), make the declarations and upload the proposal, a CV in English stating your English level, and evidence of experience in the vocation. No Google account? Email the files to vet@evec.org.gr, with section 12 of the template filled in.
- EVEC confirms receipt, with a reference number, within 2 working days.
- Eligible applicants have a short online interview in English; proposals are assessed in order of arrival.
- Proposals scoring at least 70 of 120 join the pool for 24 months, renewable.
- EVEC may present your programme, with your name and profile, to partner schools and on its website, and may suggest adaptations.
- If a school chooses your programme, dates and schedule are agreed with that school and EVEC offers you a written contract.
Submitting a proposal or joining the pool creates no agreement, contract or obligation for either side and guarantees no booking. You may submit several proposals (one form each) and update or withdraw them at any time.
Fee and terms
The fee, €880 per trainer per programme delivered (€22/hour), is EVEC’s total cost, including any VAT and any employer-type contribution required by Greek law. It is paid by bank transfer to your own account within 15 days after the programme ends and the legal payment document is received. Statutory deductions apply; tax, VAT, insurance and social contributions are otherwise your responsibility. For trainers taxed abroad, the tax treatment is confirmed before the contract is signed.
Before any contract, you provide a legal payment document under your own tax rules and, because the work involves minors, a recent criminal record certificate from your country of citizenship, with a declaration. Greek public-sector employees, including teachers in public schools, need a prior permit for paid private work (art. 31 ν. 3528/2007) for each engagement, which takes about 1–2 months, so EVEC offers dates well ahead. Private-sector employees submit a declaration that the work takes place outside their working hours and that their employment contract allows it.
You keep authorship and copyright of your proposal and grant EVEC a free, non-exclusive licence to present it; EVEC does not deliver it with another trainer without your written consent. Teaching materials produced during an Erasmus+-funded mobility may be subject to the programme’s open-licence requirement.
