Introduction
Welcome to the Erasmus+ Youth Exchange “Growing a Healthy Future with Microgreens”, where young people from Greece, North Macedonia, Serbia, Italy, and Bulgaria will come together to explore the world of microgreens and healthy living.
Microgreens are packed with nutrients, easy to grow, and have the potential to revolutionize the way we think about nutrition, urban farming, and sustainability. In this exchange, you’ll gain hands-on experience in growing microgreens, understanding their health benefits, and learning how to promote them digitally to make a positive impact in your community.
Get ready for interactive workshops, cultural exchange, and practical skills development while experiencing the vibrant city of Athens!
Who Can Participate?
✔ Participants: 4 young people per country (ages 13-30)
✔ Group Leader: 1 per country (18+ years old)
✔ Participating Countries: Greece (Host), North Macedonia, Serbia, Italy, Bulgaria
✔ Total Participants: 25
This exchange is for young people interested in urban farming, nutrition, sustainability, digital marketing, and entrepreneurship. No prior experience is required—just curiosity and motivation to learn and collaborate in an international setting!
What Will You Learn?
Throughout the exchange, you will:
🌱 Discover Microgreens: Learn about different microgreen varieties, their nutritional benefits, and their role in promoting a healthy lifestyle.
🛠️ Practical Workshops: Get hands-on experience in seeding, growing, and harvesting microgreens. Learn how to set up proper lighting, temperature, shelving racks, trays, and growing mediums.
📚 Scientific Research & Nutrition: Learn how to find university research studies on microgreens and their impact on health and nutrition.
🥗 Cooking with Microgreens: Explore recipes and meal ideas to incorporate microgreens into a balanced diet.
📢 Digital Marketing & Promotion: Learn how to use social media and digital tools to promote microgreens and raise awareness about their benefits.
Through teamwork, creativity, and expert guidance, you will gain valuable knowledge and practical skills that you can apply in your personal life and community!
Accommodation & Meals
🏠 Where You’ll Stay: Participants will be accommodated at Apartment Hotel Liberal Gazi in Athens. Rooms will be doubled, and shared with other participants from the exchange.
🍽️ Meals Provided: Three meals per day (vegetarian and vegan options available).
Travel & Reimbursement
✈ Travel Budget Per Country Per Participant (Round Trip):
- 🇧🇬 Bulgaria – 285 EUR
- 🇲🇰 North Macedonia – 285 EUR
- 🇷🇸 Serbia – 309 EUR
- 🇮🇹 Italy – 309 EUR
🛬 Arrival Date: 16 March 2025
🛫 Departure Date: 25 March 2025
Reimbursement Process:
✔ Travel costs will be reimbursed after the exchange upon submission of all original travel tickets, boarding passes, and invoices.
✔ Participants are responsible for booking their own tickets following Erasmus+ budget limits.
What to Bring?
✔ Comfortable clothing (for indoor and outdoor activities)
✔ Personal hygiene products
✔ National/typical food or items for Intercultural Night
✔ Laptop/tablet (if possible) for digital marketing sessions
✔ Notebooks, pens, and any materials for note-taking
✔ Travel documents (passport, ID, insurance, visa if needed)
